frontcamera (frontcamera.co.za) is published by Sociaal (Pty) Ltd, which is the responsible party for personal information collected on this site under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the page you subscribed from and when you subscribed. We use it only to send The Front Row, our weekly newsletter, and only after you confirm your address from the email we send you. The emails are delivered by Resend (resend.com), an email service that processes your address outside South Africa only to send each email. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Calculators. The numbers you enter into our tools are used to show you a result. We don't save them against you.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see, in aggregate, which pages are read and how people find us. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and sends Google page addresses, the referring site, approximate location (city level) and device and browser type. Google processes this outside South Africa. We've switched off Google Analytics' advertising features, and we don't use advertising or retargeting trackers. You can block these cookies in your browser or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Links to Sociaal

Links to sociaal.co.za carry tags (like utm_source=frontcamera) so Sociaal can tell that a visit came from frontcamera. If you sign up on Sociaal, Sociaal's privacy policy applies there.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing privacy@sociaal.co.za. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
