Every creator hits the same wall. Not on day one, when there's a lifetime of things to say, but around week six, when the obvious videos are made, the numbers haven't moved much, and you sit down to film with nothing. Most accounts quietly stop here.

This is the first in our Ideas bank series: lists you can come back to on that day. These fifty work in any niche, from braai to bookkeeping. Pick three, film them this week, and keep the rest for next time.

## Answer something

1. **The question you get asked most.** In DMs, in comments, at family lunch. Answer it properly, once, and pin it.
2. **The question people are embarrassed to ask.** The thing beginners Google at midnight. Answer it without making them feel stupid.
3. **"How much does it cost?"** Whatever your niche is, put a rand figure on it. South Africans share price content.
4. **The thing you were wrong about.** What you believed a year ago, what changed your mind.
5. **Reply to a comment on camera.** Pick a real one from your last post, read it out, answer it. The commenter shares it, every time.
6. **The question you wish people asked.** Then answer it.
7. **"Is it worth it?"** A product, a course, a gadget, a venue. Your honest verdict in under a minute.

## Show your work

8. **A day in the life, but only the boring bits.** The admin, the driving, the waiting. People want the reality, not the highlight reel.
9. **Your setup, right now.** Phone, desk, light, whatever you've got. Beginners want to see it's attainable.
10. **How you made your last post.** Screen-record the edit. Pull back the curtain.
11. **Before and after.** A room, a dish, a spreadsheet, a body, a business. The oldest format on the internet because it works.
12. **The mistake you made this week.** Short, specific, what you'd do differently.
13. **Your process in five steps.** Whatever you do, there's a way you do it. Number it.
14. **A timelapse.** Cooking, cleaning, building, painting, writing. Thirty minutes in fifteen seconds.
15. **What you spent this month.** On your craft, your business, your hobby. Rand amounts, no rounding.

## Use where you are

16. **Your suburb through your eyes.** The spot nobody from outside would know about.
17. **Load shedding content.** What you do when the power goes. Every South African relates.
18. **The taxi, the Gautrain, the traffic.** Film the commute and talk over it.
19. **A local comparison.** Checkers vs Pick n Pay vs Woolies on one thing. Spur vs Steers. Dis-Chem vs Clicks. Price it.
20. **The weather where you are.** Cape Town wind, Joburg thunderstorms, Durban humidity. Film it, use it as the backdrop.
21. **A South Africanism explained.** "Now now", "just now", "shame", "eish". For the international followers you didn't know you had.
22. **Your local market or spaza.** What you buy, what it costs, what you make with it.

## React and respond

23. **Stitch the most popular video in your niche** with your take. Credit the original.
24. **Something in the news this week** and what it means for people like your audience. Not politics, the practical bit.
25. **A trend, but done your way.** The sound or format everyone is using, with your niche's twist.
26. **Myth of the week.** The thing everyone in your niche believes that isn't true.
27. **Rate something.** Outfits, setups, recipes, business ideas, songs. Hold up a number.
28. **"I tried the viral thing."** Did it work? Twenty seconds.
29. **Respond to a bad take.** Find the worst advice in your niche and explain why it's wrong. Don't name names.

## Teach one thing

30. **One tip, under 30 seconds.** No intro, no outro. Tip, done.
31. **The thing that took you a year to learn**, explained in a minute.
32. **A beginner mistake and the fix.** You made it once. Everyone starting out is making it now.
33. **Three tools you actually use.** Not sponsored, not the famous ones. The ones open on your phone right now.
34. **How to do the thing cheaper.** Every niche has an expensive way and a smart way.
35. **A five-minute version.** The simplified, "I have no time" edition of whatever you teach.
36. **A checklist.** Read it out, put it in the caption, tell people to save it. Saves are worth more than likes.

## Be a person

37. **Why you started.** Short, honest, no violin music.
38. **What you'd tell yourself a year ago.**
39. **A win, however small.** First 100 followers. First paid gig. First time a stranger recognised you at Woolies.
40. **A loss.** What didn't work, what it cost, what you learned. These outperform wins.
41. **Your unpopular opinion** about your own niche.
42. **Your morning, in three shots.** Coffee, the view, the first task.
43. **Something you're bad at** that people assume you're good at.
44. **Your "why I'm still doing this"** on a week when the numbers are flat.

## Build the series

45. **Part one of something.** Say "part one" out loud. People follow to get part two.
46. **Weekly recurring format.** Monday market prices, Friday failures, Sunday setups. Pick a day and a name.
47. **A challenge with a number.** 30 days of something, 10 attempts at something, R100 budget something.
48. **"Things I'd buy again"** versus "things I regret". Two posts, one week.
49. **The FAQ, one question per post**, for a fortnight. You've now got fourteen posts and a pinned playlist.
50. **A recap.** What you posted this month, what worked, what you're doing next. Your audience likes being let in.

## The system, so this doesn't happen again

Pick ten ideas from this list that fit your niche and write them in your phone's notes app with one line each. That's two weeks of posts. When you film, film two: the one you planned and one from the list. The second one goes in a folder for the week you've run out.

The rest of the Ideas bank series goes deeper, niche by niche: ideas for small businesses that hate being on camera, for food creators, for creators who only have their phone and a bedroom. Follow along.

## What to do this week

- **Pick three** from the list and film them in one sitting.
- **Write the other seven** you'd do, one line each, in your notes app.
- **Reply to one comment on camera.** It's the cheapest post on this list and the most shared.
- **Put a rand figure** in at least one post. Price content travels in South Africa.
- **Set up a free links page** so the people who find you on one platform can follow the rest.
